Movie Trailer

In the movie Chris Kyle is played by Bradley Cooper. Cooper has had outstanding reviews for his performance in American Sniper. Many have said that Bradley Cooper gave the performance of a lifetime. Having seen the movie already I do believe this is true. I think Bradley Cooper did an amazing job of capturing every little detail about Chris Kyle, even Chris Kyle's wife thought so too. Did you know?

The movie American Sniper was released on January 16th, 2015, and it has been getting great reviews, but did you know it was first a novel that is based on a true story. American Sniper was written by Chris Kyle, and in it he shares his story about being a navy SEAL.

Chris Kyle was from Texas and he always had to work hard for the things he wanted. In his late twenties he went to become a navy SEAL, having to go through the tough training day in and day out. While training, his superiors noticed he was a great shot, so they sent him to sniper school. Chris Kyle went on four tours in Iraq, and throughout those tours he was known to everyone as the most lethal sniper in U.S. military history. Chris Kyle has the highest confirmed kill rate with 160 confirmed kills out of a possible 255. Chris Kyle is also on the list for the longest recorded sniper kills, with 1,920 m (2,100 yd)Also throughout his tours him and his wife went through some rough times, mostly arguing about him coming back to his family for good, and wanting to go for another tour. He lost some close friends along the way, and with how much time they spent together they were all basically brothers.  He served as a navy SEAL for ten years, when he finally called it quits to go home and be with his wife and two children. To give back Chris Kyle helped many veterans of war, whether they had a physical disability or a mental disability. This helped make him feel better, and the people he was helping. He really made a difference in those people's lives. Life was great for Chris Kyle, he had and did everything he had ever wanted. On February 2, 2013 Chris Kyle went to a shooting range with another fellow SEAL and a war veteran who they were helping with PTSD. Chris Kyle was killed that day by the 25 year old veteran who he was trying to help. The veteran's PTSD made him freak out and start opening fire on Chris and the other SEAL with him that day. The movie script had been handed in just days before his death, and when he died his wife Taya called the producers to make sure that if they were going to make a movie on her husband they needed to make it right because that would be how their children would remember him, and understand what a great man and SEAL he was. Chris Kyle's story will live on in U.S. military history forever.
